The Cricketers Arms is in Rickling Green near Saffron Walden. We overlook the village green and historic cricket ground, in the heart of the village. Find us between Bishops Stortford and Saffron Walden – we’re about 6 miles from both and only 12 minutes from Stansted Airport.

 

 

To reach The Cricketers Arms from the M11 North:
Leave M11 at junction 10 and take the A505 east. After approximately 1.5 miles, turn right onto the B1301. After 2.2 miles, turn right on the B1383 at the roundabout. Follow the B1383 through Newport for about 2.5 miles until you reach Rickling Green. Turn right onto Rickling Green Road for 0.2 miles and The Cricketers Arms is on your left.

To reach The Cricketers Arms from the M11 South:
Leave M11 at junction 8, the Bishops Stortford/Stansted Airport exit, and take the A120 west. Turn right at the second roundabout onto the B1383.  Follow this road through Stansted Mountfitchett for approximately 3 miles and take the first left into Belcham’s Lane immediately after you pass through the village of Ugley. The Cricketers Arms is on the right, the other side of the village green and cricket field.  Look out for the brown tourist sign directing you into Belcham’s Lane and to The Cricketers Arms. If you miss the first turning, you can take the next left which is Rickling Green Road and approach The Cricketers Arms on your left.

To reach The Cricketers Arms from the A10:
Leave the A10 and take the A120 towards Bishops Stortford/Stansted Airport. Turn left onto the B1383 at the roundabout. Follow this road through Stansted Mountfitchett for approximately 3 miles and take the first left into Belcham’s Lane immediately after you pass through the village of Ugley. The Cricketers Arms is on the right, the other side of the village green and cricket field.  Look out for the brown tourist sign directing you into Belcham’s Lane and to The Cricketers Arms.
